LDA Odesa (suspended)
The Local Democracy Agency Odesa was officially established on November 17, 2023, as part of ALDA’s wider network promoting democratic governance and decentralized cooperation in Ukraine. Located in the strategically important region of Odesa, this LDA serves as a hub for community development, citizen engagement, and international collaboration aimed at rebuilding and strengthening local resilience.
Objectives and Areas of Work
By connecting local needs with international expertise, LDA Odesa contributes to shaping a bottom-up approach to Ukraine’s recovery.
LDA Odesa focuses on empowering local communities through active participation, transparent governance, and cross-border cooperation. Its key objectives include:

Since its establishment, LDA Odesa has focused on building lasting platforms for dialogue and action. Through these initiatives, LDA Odesa is already playing a meaningful role in rebuilding trust, infrastructure, and democratic resilience at the local level. Its key initiatives include:
The creation of community centers to serve as spaces for local dialogue, support services, and civic initiatives.
The facilitation of cooperation projects connecting Ukrainian municipalities with EU partners to exchange good practices and co-develop development strategies.
